I’m a contemporary landscape painter based in Cheshire, UK. My work is a result of prompts from the environment, natural elements, places and spaces that I’ve found myself drawn to either as single visits or through repeated experiences.
I’m influenced by both figurative art and the tradition of landscape painting. The notion of time, space and place being inextricably linked to the past but also to the present is one that I continue to be drawn to.
Purposeful but considered mark making influenced by expressionism and a reflective use of paint are key to my artistic response.
